The 20-year-old dismissed the claims in a live video chat with fans on Twitter on Monday (19 August).
The two young singers were reportedly caught kissing and cuddling at V Festival over the weekend. However, Shelley has addressed the claims after a fan asked about the relationship.
He said: "It is not true I'm dating Jesy Nelson. But we did go to V Festival together and it was fun. But you all know I'm a cuddly person. So it's fine."
Earlier, the Daily Star had claimed the pair were "holding hands and giggling" in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge at the music event.
Last year, in an interview with Now magazine, Shelley did admit that the Little Mix singer is one of the women he fancies the most.
He admitted: "Jesy from Little Mix. Please put that, so I can meet her."
Most recently, Shelley was photographed with Nelson and a group of friends as they helped the singer celebrate her 22nd birthday.
Nelson previously dated Diversity's Jordan Banjo for 10 months. They ended their relationship in March due to their busy work schedules.
