Earlier this week, Perry was carrying out an interview on an Australian radio show earlier this week, when she said the rocker had tried to hit on her.
Speaking at the time, the 29-year-old singer told her interviewer: "I actually went to dinner with him [Jagger] one time and he hit on me one time when I was like 18.
"But that was a long time ago and since then he's been very kind and I got to sing Beast of Burden on his stage on their tour."
However, a number of publications are reporting that the Rolling Stones frontman has now issued a statement in reply to the story.
A representative for the 70-year-old British rocker said he "categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry.
"Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else."
