According to a report by The Sunday Mirror, the actor is expecting a child with his rumoured girlfriend Naiyana Garth.
Last week, it was revealed that the 41-year-old was dating the make-up artist. It is thought the couple have secretly been dating for months, but Elba recently introduced his partner to his family and friends, suggesting that their relationship was becoming more serious.
At the time, a source was quoted by The Sun as saying: "They've been together for a few months but it's really ramped up recently.
"They get on brilliantly and she's a real hit with his family and friends.
"Idris is known as a ladies' man but he's really not at all.
"He'd rather have banter at the bar than spend all night grafting on women. Although he doesn't have to try anyway, women flock to him."
The pregnancy news is yet to be confirmed by the couple.
Elba is already a father to an 11-year-old daughter, Isan, with his ex-wife Dormowa Sherman.
