Cowell, 54, hinted that he is ready to tie the knot with the US socialite as he revealed he would have some of his own music acts perform at his nuptials.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the music mogul said: "All my artists would have to sing. I couldn't just choose one. It would be a long wedding."
There has been speculation recently that the couple are likely to marry early next year, following the birth of their first child together. It is thought Cowell wants his mother, 87-year-old Julie, to see him tie the knot with his partner.
It has also been reported that the couple have agreed to marry in a traditional church ceremony near Cowell's mum in Sussex, before the couple hold a "blessing" for Silverman's family and friends in the US.
