It is understood the couple, who were married for 14 years and have two children together, have said they will move on from the split with "mutual respect".
They also said they would share interest in their daughters' welfare, the BBC has reported.
In June this year, the News Corporation boss filed for divorce saying his marriage to Deng had "irretrievably broken down".
The details of the settlement have not been disclosed publicly, but the couple are understood to have had a pre-nuptial agreement and are holding shares in trust for their young children.
Murdoch, 82, and Deng, 44, met in 1997 at a company party in Hong Kong. They married in 1999, with their big day coming just 17 days after Murdoch's divorce from his ex-wife Anna Murdoch Mann.
Their divorce was one of the most expensive in history with Ms Mann being awarded $1.7m in the settlement.
Murdoch was also married to Patricia Booker from 1956 to 1967.
He is a father to six.
