Melanie Sykes has been arrested and cautioned for assaulting her husband.
Police confirmed the 43-year-old television presenter spent Tuesday night in custody before admitting the offence and accepting a caution.
The incident happened at the couple's north-west London home.
A spokesman from Scotland Yard added that Sykes' husband, Jack Cockings, did not require hospital treatment.
The spokesman added: "Police were called at approximately 21:45 on Tuesday, 26 November, to a residential address in Hampstead following reports of an assault.
"A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of common assault and taken to a north London police station.
"She has since been given a caution for common assault."
Sykes, and Cockings, who is 27-years-old, tied the knot in May. They met via Twitter after Cockings used the social networking site to ask the mum-of-two on a date.
Sykes has two children from her previous marriage to Italian actor Daniel Caltagirone. The couple married in 2001 and welcomed their first son, Roman, the following year. Their second son, Valentino, was born in 2004. In 2008, it was reported that Sykes and Caltagirone had separated and in June 2009, the pair divorced.
