The television presenter, who tied the knot with his wife Dee Koppang in September 2012, confessed that the couple are now planning to start a family.
In an interview with OK magazine, O'Leary, 40, said: "We worked out the other day we're not newlyweds anymore. It's really sad.
"But I'm loving it, it's brilliant. It's like your part of the best team in the world."
He then went on to discuss his family plans, adding: "Well definitely not before [Simon] Cowell, unless there's a miracle on its way! But I hope sometime soon."
Simon Cowell is currently awaiting the birth of his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman. Their baby – reported to be a boy – is due next month.
