Kim Kardashian has said she would like her daughter to walk her down the aisle when she ties the knot with fiancé Kanye West.
The couple are so determined to have their daughter – North – play a role in the big day, that they have even splashed on jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz to create a special pair of shoes for the occasion.
A source is quoted by HollywoodLife.com as saying: "They want her [Schwartz] to create North a pair of one of a kind, diamond shoes, so she can walk her mother down the aisle when Kanye asks for her hand in marriage.
"Kanye wants Nori to be symbolic in the wedding because she's the product of the ultimate love he and Kim share for one another.
"She's their creation and Nori is so pure and Kanye wants her to walk with Kim down the aisle, taking her first steps in this life to welcome her everlasting loving parents in their union of love."
West and Kardashian have been dating since April 2012. In December 2012, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together. The reality television star gave birth to their first child, a daughter named North 'Nori' West in June 2013. In October, the pair confirmed they were engaged.
32-year-old Kardashian was previously married to NBA player Kris Humphries. The pair started dating in October 2010 and became engaged in May 2011. They married in a lavish ceremony in August of that year which was broadcast as part of the family's television show. However, just 72 days later the star filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences". Following a bitter dispute, their divorce was legally finalised in June 2013.
