The couple, who started dating in 2013, reportedly ended their relationship earlier this month after having a number of blazing rows over the Christmas period.
At the time, it was also claimed that busy work schedules played a factor in the split, but Harris is understood to have flown out to Vancouver, Canada, where his ex is currently filming 'Fifty Shades of Grey', in an attempt to reconcile.
A source is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "Calvin is pulling out all the stops.
"She was impressed when he flew out to Canada to be with her, as she knows he's really busy right now. They had lots of fun. They had day trips together.
"Calvin explained to Rita that she's very important to him, and that he just can't see where things have gone wrong between them."
It is understood 23-year-old Ora is yet to agree to getting back together with Harris, 30, but the DJ won't give up without a fight.
The source added: "Rita isn't convinced yet. She knows Calvin is a really good guy. But she's really struggling to keep her attentions focused both on her career and their relationship.
"She finds it so hard being in a long-distance relationship, and their schedules seem to constantly clash. But Calvin had told her that he sees her as his lady.
"He'll do whatever it takes and he's not going to let her go without a fight."
