The former star of "Gossip Girl" married Mr Brody, 34, in January and only three months after confirming their engagement.
The 27-year-old actress tied the knot near the ocean in Northern California, after starting to date Brody in early 2013, when they met on the set of "The Oranges" in 2011.
Leigthon and her husband were eager to keep their weeding a secret and a "super intimate" event but when a reporter asked Brody to confirm their marriage, he answered "yeah". He also raised the thumb when the reporter asked him about his new wife.
The couple is basking in their newlywed bliss and they were spotted at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico last weekend. Some people said it was their honeymoon although the same source insisted that "she was in Mexico shooting. Adam was with her, but it wasn't their honeymoon. It was strictly a professional trip."
