The actress confirmed the news via her Twitter account on Tuesday.
Taking to her social networking account, the 41-year-old wrote: "Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday."
Following speculation in the press that Newton was pregnant, the British actress confirmed the news in September 2013. This is the third child for Newton and her husband, writer and director Ol Parker.
The couple married in 1998 and are also parents to two daughters, Ripley and Nico.
