The X Factor winner revealed the news in an interview with The Sun.
The 36-year-old, who was a prison officer before finding fame on the television talent show, added that she discovered she was pregnant in a supermarket toilet.
Speaking to the newspaper, the singer explained how her husband Craig had gone to get a test after she suspected she might be pregnant.
As a result of her news, Sam said her upcoming tour has now had to be rescheduled.
She said: "I was really upset because I thought I'd let everyone at my management and the record label down.
"But they were really good about it. I was going to go on tour solo at the end of October – but I have managed to move it until January."
On Thursday, Bailey, who admitted that the pregnancy was not planned, took to her Twitter account to share a photo of her ultrasound with her fans, with the caption: "Meet peanut!"
Bailey is already a mum of two - Brook, eight, and five-year-old Tommy, with her husband.
