A songwriter has denied claims that he is dating Cheryl Cole.
According to reports, Joel Compass and Cole had a meeting last month where the singer previewed her new music for him.
At the time, Cole was photographed giving Compass a kiss on the cheek, but speaking to The Sun, he denied the romance rumours.
He admitted: "She's such a lovely girl, we met because we have mutual friends.
"I was lucky to get a kiss on the cheek. We're not dating, although people tell me I look her type."
Last year, Cole ended her relationship with dancer Tre Holloway. They had been dating for more than a year, having first met in 2011 when the couple worked together on The X Factor. Before that relationship, Cheryl was previously married to Ashley Cole. Their union came to an end when the footballer was accused of cheating on his partner.
