Speaking to Reveal at the book launch of MIC's Binky Felstead's 'Being Binky', the lothario has admitted that Dunlop is the girl he would like to marry.
Matthews, who is known for his infidelity, embarked on a short-lived romance with his friend two years ago. He has since dated co-stars Louise Thompson and Lucy Watson, to name a couple, but was unable to maintain the relationships as he kept cheating.
Now though, he has admitted Dunlop is "the love of his life".
He told Reveal: "Caggie is the love of my life. She's the girl that I would want to marry. She's the only girl in fact that I think I could be totally faithful too. I'd love to marry her."
However, the course of true love never runs smoothly, as he continued: "Caggie's in a relationship right now. Most of her boyfriends have to deal with me, which must be a pain for her and them, but it's not going to stop anytime soon.
"I see Caggie all the time. Whenever she's in trouble or has a problem, she usually comes to me and I do my best to make her feel better, which is rare because she's a very happy person. It was her birthday the other night and we had a great time. I really care about her."
