The couple are thought to have married in Costa Rica last weekend.
A source is quoted by Us Weekly magazine as saying: "It was a quick, simple ceremony – only around 30 people."
Rowland has previously spoken of her wish to have a low-key affair for her wedding. In an interview with People, she joked: "You have to pay for food for everyone and I'm not down with that. Everyone is there just to be nosy and see who I'm wearing, you know. I'm okay."
In December 2013, the 33-year-old singer finally confirmed she had her manager-partner had become engaged after weeks of speculation. Appearing on The Queen Latifah Show, she revealed that Witherspoon had proposed over the Internet while she was in Bulgaria.
She explained: "He asked me first on Skype, and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other...'
"I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes."
