According to a BBC report, the bride and groom were arrested as they tried to check in at Manchester's Hilton Hotel in Deansgate at about 23:30 on Saturday.
The couple, married earlier that day on suspicion of affray and racially aggravated assault.
They have been released on bail and police say that the investigation is ongoing.
