'Italian Wedding' For George Clooney

George Clooney and his fiancée Amal Alamuddin are reportedly looking at wedding venues in Venice as they continue to plan their big day.

The couple, who announced their engagement earlier this year, were spotted in the Italian city last month and it is thought that they were looking at potential wedding venues.


According to Page Six, a source is quoted as saying: "George and Amal want to be married in Italy, but they need a location that offers them and their guests privacy."

It had previously been claimed that the couple would marry at Clooney's Lake Como estate, but these plans appear to have been scrapped due to a lack of privacy.

Clooney, 52, and 36-year-old Alamuddin, a human rights lawyer based in London, started dating late last year. According to the Daily Mirror, the couple met at a fundraising event.
