The 40-year-old was expecting a baby with her boyfriend Tom Richards.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the couple spoke of their joy at becoming parents, but at the weekend, the former Eastenders' star confirmed she had lost her unborn child. She later took to her Twitter account and in an emotional message to her partner she wrote: "Thank u for just being u. Always putting me 1st & wiping my tears away x so blessed 2 call u mine x Love u Tommy xx (sic)".
Westbrook and Richards, 24, have enjoyed a whirlwind meeting. They met just three months ago, after Westbrook split from her husband of 12 years. Within weeks of meeting, the couple announced their engagement and soon after, they confirmed they were expecting their first child together. The actress is already a mother to Kai, 17, and 12-year-old Jody from previous relationships.
