The singer and her partner, who is a professional footballer for Spain, first met in 2010 and have one child, 17-month-old Milan, together.
However, in a recent interview with Glam Belleza Latina magazine, the 37-year-old admitted that the couple are not planning to walk down the aisle.
She explained: "We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby.
"I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them. But if I'm ever going to get married, he's the one."
The singer also spoke of her joy at being a mother, adding: "I love teaching him [Milan] something new every day."
Shakira and Piqué, 27, first met in 2010 when the footballer appeared in the singer's music video for the official 2010 FIFA World Cup song, 'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)'. In March 2011, she confirmed the couple's relationship and in September 2012, they announced they were expecting their first child together.
