According to The Sunday Mirror, the actor, 36, is alleged to have had an affair with a 21-year-old student after the pair met at a nightclub.
The claims emerged over the weekend, but on Sunday (22 June) Dyer took to Twitter to hit out at the "lies".
His response comes after he was forced to pull out of a book signing with fans at the Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent at the weekend. He tweeted: "Sorry 2 those who came 2 blue water today. I feel terrible. My family want 2 thank the Sunday Mirror 4 making this the best day ever #lies (sic)".
The actor has been in a relationship with Joanne Mas since 1995 and the couple have three children together. Dyer has previously admitted to cheating on his partner in the past.
