Courteney Cox has confirmed her engagement to Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid.
The couple, who have been in a relationship since last year, revealed the news on their Twitter accounts.
Cox, 50, and McDaid, 37 and who hails from Derry in Northern Ireland, simultaneously shared their happy news with their fans by using a photo of the couple together, alongside the respective captions: "I'm engaged to him" and "I'm engaged to her".
Engagement rumours first circulated in April after Cox was spotted wearing a diamond ring but this is the first time they have addressed the news. The pair first met in 2013 through their mutual friend Ed Sheeran.
Cox, who shot to fame on television sitcom Friends, was previously married to actor David Arquette. The couple met on the set of Scream in 1995 and married four years later. In 2010, they announced they had separated after 11 years of marriage, but waited until 2012 to file for a divorce. Their divorce was finalised in May 2013. They share custody of their 10-year-old daughter Coco.
