Snow Patrol Star Could Marry Soon

There are reports that Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid could marry his fiancée Courteney Cox within the next couple of months.

It is understood the couple, who started dating last year, want a small, intimate ceremony. It is also thought the wedding could be held shortly.

Commenting on the happy news, McDaid's bandmate Jonny Quinn told the Irish Mirror: "I've only met Courteney on Skype. She's lovely. For being the mega star that she is, she's quite a down-to-earth person actually.

"I'm going to see them in August to stay with them – but I can't tell you about a wedding."

He added: "No, I haven't been told about the wedding. But I am so happy they met, it happened in a very organic way.

"It was through Ed Sheeran, they were working on a movie together. They just met a few times by hanging out with other people.

"And it's just gone from strength to strength – obviously, they're getting married. Johnny is a great guy, I've known him for a very long time. I wish all the best for him."

Cox, 50, and McDaid, 37 and who hails from Derry in Northern Ireland, simultaneously shared their engagement news with their fans last month. They both shared an image of them together, alongside the respective captions: "I'm engaged to him" and "I'm engaged to her".
