Ellie Goulding is said to have made her relationship with Dougie Poynter public, because she wanted rumours about an alleged relationship with Calvin Harris to stop.
The 27-year-old, who confirmed she was dating the McFly star in May, was reported to be in a relationship with Harris around the same time.
According to Star magazine, a source is quoted as saying: "Ellie is fiercely private, but she wants to make it clear that Dougie is the only man on her mind. Their relationship is going from strength to strength, regardless of people trying to spread rumours. Ellie and Calvin have been friends for years – it's all so ridiculous."
Goulding confirmed she was in a relationship with Poynter, 26, in May when she appeared on Alan Carr's Chatty Man. The news came just days after the Poynter said he was dating the singer.
