The news comes just weeks after Ora, 23, confirmed she had separated from her boyfriend Calvin Harris.
According to the Daily Mirror, a source is quoted as saying: "Ricky came over to Europe to hang with Rita a bit more this summer.
"They really hit it off when they met and really like each other, so Rita invited him over to join her.
"They want to see where things might take them - they're just having a lot of fun."
The insider added that the singer's friends aren't as keen on the rumoured romance however, explaining: "He's [Ricky] a bit of a bad boy and a real world away from clean-cut Calvin... People are worried he might not be the best influence on Rita right now."
Ora and Harris, 30, were in a relationship for more than a year. Last month, the Scottish DJ shared a message on his Twitter account, revealing that the couple had ended their relationship "some time ago". Ora later confirmed they were no longer together.
