The 2012 Olympic heptathlon champion revealed the news on her Twitter account on Friday (18 July).
She wrote: "Our beautiful baby boy Reggie Ennis-Hill was born yesterday. We couldn't be happier."
The 28-year-old also shared a black-and-white snap of the couple's newborn son.
Ennis-Hill tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart, Andy, in May 2013. In January, the new mum announced she was pregnant and confirmed she would not be competing at this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. At the time, she added that she was "100% set on returning to full-time athletics" after the birth, saying she said aims to defend her Olympic title at the Games in Rio in 2016.
