Man Tries To Reunite Owner With Wedding Ring

A man is attempting to reunite an owner with their missing wedding ring.

According to the Evening Standard, Ivan Barefield discovered the gold band on a beach while he was on holiday in Santiago Bay, Ibiza.

He had been looking for sea creatures on the shoreline when he saw "something glistening" in the water. Investigating further, he found it to be a gold ring, which is inscribed on the inside.

After asking around the local area, no one could identify the owner so Mr Barefield, 48, decided to bring it back to the UK to try and return it to its owner.

He is quoted by the publication as saying: "It is obviously a precious item. I really want to try and get it back to its owner as it looks like a wedding ring. I was going to leave it at my hotel, but thought it might get lost. So I thought I would try and return it to whoever lost it myself.

"I posted a picture of the ring on Facebook," he added. "The image has already been shared 33,000 times since September 4. I'm hoping we'll get lucky."

The gold ring has a distinctive engraving on the inside of the band, which reads: "12.6.10 My Magda". It was discovered by Mr Barefield on S'Estanyol beach, close to Santiago Bay, last month.
