The couple first met last year; Mr Neal, a former police officer involved in the Operation Yewtree squad, was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother. Following his eviction from the house, he appeared on the spin-off show 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side', which was co-hosted by Clark.
However, the pair kept their relationship out of the spotlight until November 2013. It is thought they became engaged over the weekend during a romantic trip to Paris.
A source is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "Rylan and Dan have always known marriage was on the cards. So being in the French capital, you might think Rylan saw it coming.
"However, it still took him completely by surprise. And there was never any question about what his answer might be."
They added: "Rylan can't wait to marry Dan. They're just thrilled it's official and they can get started with the best part – planning!"
