According to The Sun, the couple have been dating for a few weeks, having met at festivals over the summer months and spending some time together.
Nelson, 23, was previously in a relationship with Diversity star Jordan Banjo, but that came to an end earlier this year.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "It's early days but Jesy and Jake seem smitten with each other. They're seeing how things go.
"They're both always busy with work so they know it will be hard, but both of them want to make it work. They're very similar to each other and like a laugh so are well suited."
Adding to the speculation that they are dating, Nelson and 22-year-old Roche, who is the son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie, have both been sharing photos of them together on their respective social media sites.
One snap Ms Nelson shared on Instagram is of the pair together, which she has captioned: "Happy birthday to this absolute fruit cake @jake_rixtonaka 'James poach' ;) u make me laugh everyday without fail!!!"
While two weeks ago, Roche shared a photo of the Little Mix star, with the accompanying message: "I don't have emojis.. But if I did it would be the heart eyed one."
