Speaking to Teen Vogue, the singer was discussing the difficulties that can come with being famous, when the subject drifted to being in love.
Ora, who separated from her boyfriend Calvin Harris earlier this year, said: "Without complaining, without being moany, because this is what I have wanted to do all my life, I think it's that people may forget I'm just a g 23-year-old girl who wants to be in love.
"Even though I live and breathe my job, I still want someone to want me. That's how every girl feels."
She then appeared to allude to her ex, adding: "It's like, 'Will I ever love someone as much as I loved that person?'
"You will. You won't forget how you felt, but you will love someone else again."
Ora and Harris, 30, dated for over a year. In June, the Scottish DJ took to Twitter to confirm the couple had ended their relationship. In a short message to his followers, Harris wrote: "To address speculation – myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."
