The actor is said to be expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend Catherine Harding.
It is understood a representative for Law, 41, has since confirmed the news.
In a statement they said: "I can confirm that Jude Law and Catherine Harding are expecting a child together in the spring. Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child.
"They consider this a private matter and other than this confirmation no statement will be made. I ask that you respect the privacy of all parties involved and their families."
Law is already a father to four. He has two sons, Rafferty and Rudy, and a daughter named Iris with his ex-wife Sadie Frost; while he is also a dad to Sophia, from his brief relationship with former girlfriend Samantha Burke.
