People Feel More Attractive On Holiday

People for more attractive when they are on holiday, a new survey has found. However, it is a close call as to whether they appear more or even less attractive to their partner while on a break away.

The poll, conducted by sunshine.co.uk, asked 2,364 females, aged 18 and over, how their holiday affects how attracted they are to their partner. Each woman questioned was in a relationship and had been on a holiday with their other half in the last year.

Participants were asked, "Would you say you were more, less or equally as attracted to your partner during your last holiday with them?"

41% admitted they were "more attracted" to their partner, but an equally honest 32% said they were "less attracted" to their other half while on holiday.

When asked as to why they were less attracted to their man, they were asked to select a reason from a shortlist of options, selecting more than one reason, if appropriate.

For 46% of women, they accused their partner of having peeling or sunburnt skin, while 35% said they had spent too much time together and 31% said one of them had suffered from heatstroke. 26% criticised their other half for drinking too much and 19% were annoyed because their partner "ogled other women".

Women who said they were more attracted to their partner on a holiday were also asked as to the reasons why; 56% said it was because they take better care of themselves while on a break, while 51% confessed they are nicer to be around. 36% praised their man for losing weight before their holiday, and 33% said they had more time for each other. For 29%, their reason was because they were having more sex on holiday.

However, despite many being loved-up on holiday, 23% of women would still prefer to go on a trip with their close female friends rather than their partner. An addition 16% said they would rather go on holiday with their family than their other half.

Sue Anderson, from sunshine.co.uk, is quoted as saying: "If you've never been on holiday with a partner before, it can be quite daunting knowing that you're going to be with them 24/7, especially if you aren't used to living together.

"People are generally more relaxed on holiday, so bad habits can emerge which may be off-putting, but people should just enjoy being together. If, by the end of the holiday, you're feeling more unsure about your partner than when you set off, it's probably time to call it a day."
