The couple were first said to be expecting a child together last month when Biel, 32, was spotted with a suspected baby bump.
According to Us Weekly, a source is quoted as saying: "Right now they are just enjoying the news for themselves. They just want a happy baby."
The couple have previously spoken of their desire to start a family. In an interview with E! last year, Biel said they would start a family "at some point", while her husband has been quoted as saying: "I'm not against the idea [of children] at all, but I think I still have some time ahead of me. Let's leave it to fate."
Biel and Timberlake, 33, started dating in 2007. They separated in April 2011 only to reconcile in June. They announced their engagement in December of that year, and in October 2012, the couple married at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Fasano, Italy.
