The couple, who despite only been dating for a short while, have both been the subject of infidelity rumours.
Now, speaking to OK! magazine, the couple have said they are putting the issues behind them and moving forward together.
Thompson, who has admitted she is unsure if she kissed another man before her boyfriend moved from New York to be with her in London, said: "No one has said outright they saw me doing this or that. But even if I'm not sure, it's best to move forward.
"Alik has been very forgiving. I've had to make changes for Alik and prove that it's not going to happen again. And it won't."
Her other half added: "The only ground rule I set was that I don't want you drinking when I'm not with you until I trust that you can do it on your own."
Trying to repair their relationship, the couple also revealed they had discussed marriage and the possibility of children – even if it is not for a while yet.
"We've been joking about having children, but I'm only 24," Thompson said, while Alfus added: "I'm not ready to be married, but I do love the girl, so we'll see where that goes."
