The singer took to her Twitter account over the weekend after a tabloid claimed the couple's two-month marriage was in trouble, and in a new interview with OK! magazine, the 34-year-old has insisted the couple's relationship is stronger than ever.
She added that she is now the happiest she has ever been, and is looking forward to spending Christmas with her husband and family.
She told the publication: "I've not had a bad Christmas since George has been around! He's my bestest friend in the world."
Katona also hit out at reports that she said she wasn't sure if their marriage would last, explaining: "I can't predict that this marriage will last forever. But my words were completely twisted. I'm happier than I've ever been."
Katona and Kay have been in a relationship since 2012, but have been friends for a number of years. They announced their engagement in 2013 and in April 2014, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Dylan Jorge. While Dylan is Kay's first child, his wife is also a mum to Molly 13, and Lilly Sue, 11, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, and Heidi, seven, and six-year-old Max from her second marriage to Mark Croft.
