The X Factor judge is already a mum of three, but said she would like "one more baby" before she turns 40 next year.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, she said it was something she and her husband, Stephen Belafonte, had been discussing.
"We've been talking about it for two years," she admitted. "I'm 40 next year, I want to have one more baby."
Her husband added that they would also consider adoption, explaining: "I think there are so many kids in the world that we could give a chance to."
Mel B welcomed her first child, a daughter named Phoenix, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar in February 1999. Her second daughter, Angel, was born in 2007 following a short-lived relationship with actor Eddie Murphy. In September 2011, the former Spice Girl and Belfonte – who married in secret in June 2007 – welcomed daughter Madison together.
