Man Proposes Using GPS Tracking App

A man has proposed to his girlfriend using a GPS tracking app.

According to reports, Ben Chudley used the app to track his running route about Portsmouth's streets on Tuesday night – before posting the route on Facebook for his girlfriend, Olivia Abdul, to see.

He is quoted by the BBC as saying he had ran around 15 miles to create his proposal so it could be clearly viewed on the app. The proposal itself was spelled out over 5.7 miles.

The 28-year-old had told his girlfriend he was going out for a run and then posted the route to Facebook. He then returned to their home with flowers and a ring. Thankfully for Mr Chudley, his partner saw the message and said yes.

Despite the proposal going to plan, the groom-to-be admitted it "could have been very embarrassing if she had said no".
