The pair have been in a relationship for more than six years and Haenow, who was last night crowned the winner of this year's X Factor, has made no secret that he plans to propose to his partner. However, 27-year-old Jessica has admitted there is no pressure for him to pop the question.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she revealed: "Our first date was a candlelit McDonalds. We haven't had time for date nights recently.
"It has been hard not seeing him and contact has been difficult as he is so busy, but he calls and texts whenever he can and I always get a call before bed which is lovely.
"He's been very good at keeping me as involved as much as possible and he's so down to earth – he has stayed very grounded throughout the whole competition."
Commenting on the rumoured engagement plans, she added: "I don't want Ben to feel pressured by anything or anyone about proposing, but when the time is right it will happen, and when it does, I'd like it to be private and nothing too glitzy."
