The actress welcomed her first child in October last year, and having taken time off work following the birth, she said she has spent every moment possible with her little girl, Wyatt.
The 31-year-old has stayed out of the spotlight since becoming a mum, making her first red carpet appearance earlier this week as she attended the premiere of her newest movie, Jupiter Ascending.
Speaking on The Jimmy Kimmel Live show on Tuesday night, however, Kunis admitted it was the first time she had left her baby, and she found the experience traumatising.
She said: "That was the first time I left [Wyatt] at home. It's frightening, I was with her every day for the first four months of her little life. I cried."
She added that it is "very strange" not to be doting on her daughter 24/7 as she returns to work, explaining: "From being a stay-at-home to all of a sudden leaving your child, it's a very strange feeling."
The actress also praised her partner, Ashton Kutcher, calling him an "incredible father", but said: "I trust him completely, but the way that I hold the baby and he holds the baby... [Ashton] is like a jungle gym. He chucks her up in the air... it's frightening!"
Kunis first announced her pregnancy in May 2014, following weeks of speculation. It is the first child for the actress and Kutcher, who met on 'That 70's Show' in the 90s, but only started dating in April 2012. They became engaged in February 2014 and last month, the actor sparked speculation that they had married. They have yet to comment on the marriage claims.
