The couple have been husband and wife since 2002 and have three sons together, but the singer has admitted it hasn't always been an easy journey.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, the 45-year-old confessed: "We go through so much together – it's a miracle that we could stay together this long.
"[Gavin's] on a short tour right now, and he wrote me the sweetest note this morning. It's good to have those days when we both do our own things.
"I think that's what keeps relationships going, when both people can be themselves and have their own individuality. That's especially important for women – it's hard to find time for yourself."
Stefani and Rossdale, 49, met in 1995 when the two were on tour together. No Doubt were one of two support acts for alternative rock band 'Bush', where Rossdale was the guitarist and lead singer.
The couple started dating and married in September 2002 in Covent Garden, London. They have three children together; sons Kingston, born in May 2006, Zuma, born in August 2008, and Apollo, born in February 2014.
Rossdale is also the father of model Daisy Lowe. Following a brief relationship with her mother Pearl in 1988, a paternity test revealed him to be the father in 2004.
