The singer, who is originally from Ireland but now lives in Los Angeles, was involved in a three-car collision. It is not known what caused the accident, but it resulted in the 32-year-old's car being written off. However, she added that her daughter was not hurt. The crash happened on Tuesday, just a week before Mumba is due to give birth to her first child.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "So yesterday was a bad day. 3 car crash that we got the brunt of. My poor car written off a week before the baby is due. Clearly God was protecting us....just so grateful that our little girl is ok and this wasn't any worse. Serious reality check (sic)."
She then uploaded a photo to the social networking site which revealed her to be lying on a stretcher.
Mumba confirmed her pregnancy news in September 2014. It is the first child for the singer and her husband, policeman Torray Scales. The couple married in LA in February 2012.
