The couple, who announced their engagement late last year, tied the knot in a private ceremony on Saturday (14 February) on the Isle of Wight. Not many details have been revealed regarding the wedding, but it has now been claimed that the actor chose to have three best men at his wedding.
According to The Sun, a source is quoted as saying: "Benedict had three best men, but only one was famous – and that was Judge Rinder. There was speculation that he chose another actor, but he wanted genuine old friends in the role."
It is understood Cumberbatch and Judge Rinder became friends at Manchester University, while the actor also officiated at Rinder's civil ceremony to his boyfriend Seth Cumming in Ibiza in 2013.
Rinder, who is a criminal barrister, also has his own daytime show on ITV.
