Angus Deayton 'Splits From Girlfriend'

Angus Deayton and his long-time girlfriend Lise Mayer have reportedly ended their relationship.

The couple, who have been together for 24 years, are thought to have separated "some time ago".

A source is quoted by The Daily Mirror as saying: "They split some time ago but managed to keep it under wraps and have been getting on with their lives. Sadly, it is just one of those things."


Deayton, 59, and Mayer, 55, started dating in 1991. They have one child together, a son named Isaac. In 2002, the couple's relationship hit trouble after it was revealed Deayton had been unfaithful. He was also alleged to have a cocaine habit, and was subsequently fired from his presenting role on 'Have I Got News For You'. His partner stood by him at the time of the scandal.
