The former TOWIE star will discuss the romance in her second autobiography, Secrets and Lies, the MailOnline has said.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "This is her story, in her own words. To say the book is explosive is an understatement.
"This is Sam's chance to answer back to all of the false claims in Joey's book, she was shocked when she read his autobiography last year and wanted to put the record straight, as well as update on her story following her first book."
They added: "Sam has had lots of headlines in the past five years since she came into the public eye, her relationship with Joey was well documented but she talks for the first time about what really happened in this book."
The couple started dating while they were both members of the TOWIE cast, but separated in 2012. Later that year, they reunited and Essex proposed in March 2013. They split again a few months later but quietly worked to get their relationship back on track. In 2014, the pair confirmed they were dating – only to announce their separation, for good, a short time later.
