Alan Rickman Marries Long-Term Partner

Alan Rickman has married his long-term partner Rima Horton.

According to German newspaper Bild, the actor revealed the news during a recent interview.

Rickman, 69, and Horton, 68, met 50 years ago and lived together since 1977.


He is now quoted by the paper as saying they are now husband and wife. He was asked how the couple have managed to have a successful relationship without tying the knot, to which he replied: "We are married. Just recently. It was great, because no one was there. After the wedding in New York we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and ate lunch."

He added that he bought his partner a $200 ring, which he admits "she never wears".
