Kym Marsh and Dan Hooper have reportedly called time on their engagement.
Speculation had suggested that Hooper moved out of the couple's home over the weekend, just five months after they announced they were to marry. It is understood the split is just temporary, however.
A source is quoted by the MailOnline as saying: "Kym and Dan have called things off, but they are hoping that this is a short-term thing and that the break will help them to resolve their differences.
"Dan moved out at the weekend and is staying with friends. He recently started a new job and she [Kym] has a busy schedule which hasn't helped matters.
"They both live busy lives but they are hopeful that they will be able to sort things out."
Marsh, 38, has remained quiet on the claims, but on Tuesday, her partner took to Twitter to say that the couple were having problems, but their engagement had not been called off.
He wrote: "Nothing's broken off. We are having space and a break. Please leave us alone with the horrible comments."
Marsh and Hooper, 32, were first reported to be in a relationship in April 2014, but the romance was surrounded by controversy after it was alleged that Hooper had cheated on his former girlfriend Stephanie Waring, who was also a friend of Marsh. Waring later said the couple had separated shortly before Hooper started dating Marsh.
While Marsh initially denied she was dating the personal trainer, he soon took to Twitter to share a black and white photo of them kissing. In December 2014, the couple announced their engagement.
