The couple have been the subject of romance rumours since February after they were spotted together in New York having breakfast at a café, just hours after looking cosy at a showbiz party. At the time, they did not comment on the claims, but earlier this week they were spotted at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in New York holding hands and cuddling.
Skarsgard, 38, also spent time taking photos of the 31-year-old British model.
A source is quoted by Us Weekly as saying: "(Alexa and Alexander's relationship) is serious and has really heated up."
Another source added: "It's a fun relationship for both of them. She's just about as busy as he is and it's not really feasible (for them) to become a more committed couple, but the hang outs are great."
