It was later reported that a body had been found in the search, with authorities saying on Tuesday that a post-mortem confirmed it was Mr Jones, 32.

Taking to Instagram, Ms Lennox shared a number of photographs of the couple during their time together. Alongside the images, she wrote: "My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the love & light of my life is no longer with me.

"All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this. I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued.

"I have eternal gratitude for experiencing a love from Ian that was so unbelievably deep & true. We truly lived. Let us honour & celebrate this exceptionally beautiful soul & keep following the light."
