Robbie Williams has admitted he lied in order to get out of attending his a parents' evening at his daughter's nursery – because he was too scared to go.
In an interview with The Mirror, the 41-year-old explained: "I don't like that many people. It's rare that I go into the room and go, 'Yeah, I like that person and that person,' out of 5,000 people, let alone being thrown into a room full of parents.
"That scares me. There was a parent evening for the nursery Teddy goes to and it filled me with fear. It was either take a Valium and go or pretend I've got to be in the studio… and that always gets me out of everything.
"So I pretended I was in the studio. What are we going to talk about? Teddy isn't even three. I don't know what we're supposed to talk about."
Williams and his wife, Ayda Field, tied the knot in 2010. The couple are parents to two-year-old daughter, Theodora 'Teddy' Rose, and 10-month-old son, Charlton.
