Peter Andre has revealed he asked his wife Emily MacDonagh for permission to appear as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
Earlier this week, Andre, 42, was confirmed as one of this year's contestants on the BBC dancing show, but admitted that while the broadcaster had invited him onto the show for the last three years, he only agreed to it after he asked his wife if he could take part and she said yes.
Speaking to Free Radio, he explained: "Of course I asked her permission. Guys, I wear the trousers, but she picks them for me. She picks the colours, the size, the belt. I mean, you have to ask permission.
"She's already sending me pictures of sparkly outfits with smiley faces at the end. It came about because Strictly have been kind enough to ask me for the last three years."
Andre and MacDonagh, 25, started dating in July 2012. They announced their engagement in January 2014, just one day before MacDonagh gave birth to their daughter Amelia. While Amelia is the couple's first child together, Andre is also a father to Junior, 10, and eight-year-old Princess. Last month, Andre and MacDonagh tied the knot at Mamhead House in Exeter.
