Nadia Forde has praised her boyfriend, rugby player Dominic Day, for his support following the death of her mother earlier this year.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the couple discussed their relationship, confirming that it is stronger than ever. Forde, 26, and Day, 30, were first said to be romantically involved earlier this year, but they only confirmed their relationship in May when they were spotted together.
Six months into the relationship, and the Irish model told the publication: "It was just me and the cats for three years before Dom! He makes me feel like I'm part of a team. This is definitely the happiest I've ever been in a relationship."
Shortly into their relationship, Forde's mother, Berenice, died after a five-year battle with lymphoma. While Day could not be with his girlfriend at the time, she said he still showed his support.
"Dom was away at the time but sent a big, beautiful bunch of flowers, apologising that he couldn't be there with me, at that moment, on that day," she revealed. "I completely wasn't expecting it but was so touched. I still have the card in my purse."
Forde and Day met through Nadia's friend, Debbie O'Leary, the wife of Irish rugby player Peter Stringer.
